TERMS & CONDITION, UPDATED 2025

Enrolment

1. Enrolment applications are to be made online.

2. Mid term enrolments are accepted and charged on a pro rata basis.

Payments

1. All Lessons are billed in advance.

2. All group prices are for a term.

3. Private lessons are billed monthly.

4. All lesson fees stated above are exclusive of GST.

5. Lessons are conducted every week. If you cannot commit, our 8 Pack Offer is a great option.

6. Private lessons billed monthly are based on the number of weeks in the month.

7. In the event that there are 5 weekly lessons in a particular month, your lesson fees will be prorated accordingly.

8. We accept payment via our direct debit system, PayID, bank transfer or cash.

9. There is a one-time $50 onboarding registration fee for ALL students.

10. Registration fee is non-refundable. It is inclusive of challenges, performances, admin fees etc.

11. Invoices are issued before the commencement of all classes.

12. Payment has to be made in full before group lesson commences.

13. Payment has to be made in full before the 7th of every month for private lessons. A late fee is incurred otherwise. There is strictly NO waiver of late fee.

14. Individuals with chronically late payments will be subject to an increased rate. It may also result in the students’ position being forfeited.

15. If the balance or instalment payments are not received on the due date, Ally’s Piano Studio reserves the right to suspend your lessons until the fees owing have been paid. 

16. In the event of default in payment/s, action will be taken to recover the debt. All recovery costs are incurred by you.

Missed Lesson Policy

1. Fees cannot be refunded once paid, full fees apply.

2. Mid-term enrolments are billed on a pro rata basis.  

3. 24 business hours notice is required by cancelling in the Student/Parent Portal if you must miss a lesson, otherwise the lesson is deemed taken. 

4. No make-up lessons will be provided for missed group lessons.

5. No credits will be provided for missed group & pair lessons.

6. Group lessons are billed in advance and cannot be refunded or rescheduled. 

7. For private 1-1 lessons, you can reschedule if needed, but we encourage you to minimise cancellations.

8. For private pair lessons, please inform us at least 2 weeks in advance if you cannot make a certain date, and we may be able to reschedule the class. This is subjected to the agreement with the other student.

9. Make-up credits must be used within the year.

10. Makeups are offered during the school holidays subject to teacher availability. 

11. We cannot guarantee make-up lessons.

12. If the teacher cancels a lesson, make-up credits will be provided. 

13. School holiday programs and lessons held during the school holidays are billed in advance and cannot be refunded or rescheduled. 

14. If a regular group teacher is away, they will be replaced by a substitute teacher. Classes will go ahead.

Termination of Lessons

1. For private lessons, if you wish to cancel your lessons this must be via email to admin@allyspianostudio.com 4 weeks prior.

Practice, Recitals & Lesson Materials

1. Home practice is essential to students’ progress. We encourage playing for your family & friends.

2. Attending concerts & piano recitals will contribute to musician’s growth.

3. Lesson materials (eg. worksheets) will be provided.

4. Piano books are billed separately.

5. Please bring your piano folder & book to each lesson. 

6. We recommend 30 mins-1 hour of practice per day; this can be made up of 5-10 mins daily during weekdays & weekends. Practice also involves playing piano games, doing theory work.

7. You will have the opportunity to perform at our recitals.

8. By commencing lessons with Ally’s Piano Studio you consent to the video, audio recording, or taking of photographs for publications, promotional & marketing purposes.

9. By commencing lessons with Ally’s Piano Studio you are committing to supporting your child practice at home.

10. By commencing lessons with Ally’s Piano Studio you are committing to learning & piano practice.

Enquiries

1. All enquiries are to be directed to admin@allyspianostudio.com.

Child Safety

1. Ally’s Piano Studio teachers and staff are NOT responsible for the supervision of children before or after lessons.

2. Please be sure to drop them off and pick them up promptly after lesson time.

3. Children are under supervision of the teacher during their lesson time, in the class room only. 

4. Ally’s Piano Studio accepts no liability or responsibility for any injury sustained by a student that arises from any activity in Ally’s Piano Studio.

5. Ally’s Piano Studio also accepts no liability or responsibility for any minors, siblings, friends or family of the students who attend Ally’s Piano Studio.

6. Parents/Guardians are to advise Ally’s Piano Studio of any life threatening or serious medical conditions for children under 18 years of age. 

Any changes or issues with invoices must be discussed before the scheduled payment date.

We are unable to offer credits due to conflicting circumstances or events.
